Mr. RMS Chhina hails Union Budget as `Progressive’, `Growth-Oriented’

Amritsar, Feb. 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Bhartiya Janta Party Punjab state executive member and educationist Mr. Rajinder Mohan ChhinaRajinder Mohan Singh Chhina today hailed Union Budget, presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the parliament as `Progressive’ and `Growth Oriented’. He said that every sector, be it agriculture, health, education, defense or infrastructure, has been taken care of as the budget  provides major push to the economic growth and  development and will generate employment.

            RMS Chhina applauded the announcement of launching the Flagship National Health Pogramme, increasing the health insurance limits especially for poor families and establishing one medical college for every 3 parliamentary constituencies.

            Mr. Chhina hailed the focus of this budget on agriculture and rural sector, higher education with a special impetus on research, infrastructure, health and defense sector which are pro economic welfare. He said that the Agri-Market Development Fund with a corpus of 2000 crore which is  to be set up for developing agricultural markets with the  focus on low-cost farming, higher MSP (minimum support price)  will generate farm & non-farm employment for farmers. Also, increased investment in agricultural infrastructure and implementation of DBT for fertilizer subsidy implied higher focus for rural focused schemes.

             The mechanisms adopted by the Government to give boost to companies by ways of launching Operation Green, Ujwalla Yojana or lowering corporate tax for MSMEs were majorly appreciated by Mr. Chhina.

            “The poor section of the society has been taken care of in the budget and so are the farmers and the women’’, said Mr. Chhina adding that the focus  on strengthening education with an inclination towards Research and boosting MSME and job creation  is music to consumer sector companies and will put the economy on the right track as the provisions are growth oriented and  development specific’’, said he adding that the country would see constructive  development and infrastructure building in the coming days.
