DAV Public School Student Qualifies for Asian Games

Amritsar, Feb. 7 (Punjab Post Bureau) – It was a proud moment for DAV Public School, , Lawrence Road , Amritsar as Shubhreet Kaur,  a student  of Std X of the school qualified for  the prestigious Asian Games to be held in  Dubai in March 2018. The gifted student won two medals in Fencing in 63^rd School National Games held at Pune recently. She clinched a silver medal in Epee and a bronze medal in Foil and created a place for herself in the Asian Games. Almost 700 participants from 25 States of the country participated in the School National Games and competed for qualifying in the Asian Games at the International Level. Ecstatic Shubhreet, said that she had great responsibility on her shoulders and would work even harder to improve her performance and win medals for the country at the International level.

Regional Director Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar congratulated the student for this brilliant achievement. They said that it was a momentous occasion for everyone. They blessed the child for her future endeavors.

Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school said that another feather had been added in the cap of the school. She added that she was proud of the diligent efforts made by the teachers and the students to win laurels at the national and international level.
