Different Strokes-2014- A Media Fest Organized at BBK DAV College for Women

Amritsar, July 2 ( Punjab Post Bureau)- The Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, organized Different Strokes-2014. The fest was organized to recognize the talent of the students who have joined the new academic session 2014-15 and acquainted them with various careers associated with the field of media. The fest comprised of various competitions including RJ Hunt, News Reading, Debate, Ad-Mad, creative writing and collage making etc. In Creative Writing Shivani Behal Stood Ist & Aishwarya Talwar Stood IInd, in AD Mad Jasleen Kaur & Harshita Jain Stood Ist & Aishwarya Talwar and Mansi Arora stood IInd, in RJ Hunt Upasna Stood Ist and Gurpreet Kaur stood IInd, in News Reading, Aishwarya, Ruma stood Ist & Harshita and Ashween stood IInd & in Collage Making Geetika, Samiksha Narula & Damanpreet Stood Ist, IInd & IIIrd respectively.

 “Events like this offer a platform to the students to showcase their potential and bring out their talent. I appreciate the efforts of the departments and students and hope that the event boost the morale of the freshers,” said the college Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra. Head of Department of Journalism & Mass Communication Mrs. Priyanka Bassi added, “The event saw a huge participation and the zeal of the students was applaudable. Every year the department organizes the fest to introduce the students to the field of media”
