DAV Public School observes Mother Language Day

Amritsar, Feb. 23 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road conducted a special assembly on Mother Language Day. It is an internationally recognised day to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and promote multilingualism.

The students spoke about the importance of this day that how mother language has a powerful role in the formation of an individual. They emphasised that such days help in imparting national togetherness, and promote oneness in the nation. One of the faculty members of the school, Mr. Bhatti also addressed the  assembly and sensitised the children  about the  use of  mother tongue, how its use help in  nations development and inspires respect,  tolerance for rich cultural traditions.

Regional Director Punjab Zone –A Dr. Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar in their message conveyed that the use of mother language helps in better communication and helps to preserve the cultural heritage of humanity. Dr.  Day sends a message that their culture is very important and it provides an opportunity to explore the cultural diversity of their community and evaluate their attitudes and values as citizens of a multicultural society.
