Chief Justice S.J Vazifdar inaugurated 3 Free Legal help Centres at Amritsar
Amritsar, Mar. 12 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Legal Services Authority has big role to play in ensuring speedy justice to the poor and needy persons, everyone should avail the services being rendered by Legal Services Authority to protect their legal rights as well as to get benefits of the welfare schemes of the government.” It was said Mr. Justice Shiavax Jal Vazifdar, Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court while addressing the gathering in the Chetna Camp organized at Satya Bharti Senior Secondary School Kohala (Chogawan). This camp was organized by the Punjab Legal Services Authority and District Legal Services Authority with the help of District Administration. Chief Justice said that Legal Services Authority has been proved successful in rendering speedy justice to the needy and downtrodden persons. Lauding the efforts of the Legal Services Authority for conducting this Chetna Camp Chief Justice said that the crowd at this camp is clear indication that people are considering these camps helpful in getting benefits of welfare schemes being run by state and centre government.
Mr. Justice T.P.S Mann while addressing the gathering said that every person has equal right for getting justice and under legal Services Authority we try to ensure equal opportunities for everyone to get justice. He said that free legal help centers have been set up across the state and the public is being sensitized about their rights to get justice. He said that law would be incorporated as a separate subject in the school curriculum from this year. He said that with this the children would be more aware about their legal rights and law of the land.
Deputy Commissioner Kamaldeep Sangha welcomed the Chief Justice and praised the efforts of Legal Services Authority for conducting Chetna Camp. He assured the Chief Justice that district administration would always be ready to join hand with the legal services authority to deliver justice to the poor and needy persons.
Chief Justice also released a booklet containing vital information on the services of legal services authority, its website and other schemes. He also distributed tricycles, sewing machines, sports kits ad seeds to the needy persons.

Kang, Member Secretary of the legal services authority Mrs. Harpreet Kaur, Mrs. Monika Sharma, SSP Mr. Parampal Singh, ADC Mr. Ravinder Singh, Assistant Commissioner Ms. Alka Kalia SDM Mr. Rajat Oberoi Civil Surgeon Mrs. Narinder Kaur and Senior Officers of civil and police administration.
Earlier in the day Chief Justice S.J Vazifdar inaugurated the free legal aid clinics at Ambedkar Bhawan Mental Hospital Amritsar and Satya Bharti Senior Secondary School, Kohala.
