Artists from Amritsar visited historical place “Baathu Ki Ladi” in Pong Dam

PPN2306201802Amritsar, June 23 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  A group of 23 artists from Amritsar led by Art Critic Brajesh Jolly visited a Historical place “Baathu Ki Ladi” in Pong Dam District Kangra Himachal Pradesh near Talwara,. It was an earnest desire of the artists to visit such a historical place.  It is said that the temples of Bathu Ki Ladi remain under the water of Pong Dam for at least 8 months in a year. These temples are visible only from March to June every year.  The Artists who visited the place includes Kulwant S. Gill, Dharminder Sharma, Mala Chawla, Narinder Singh, Gursharan Kaur, Teena Sharma, Shubha Mahajan, Vanshika, Inderpreet Kaur, Anju Jolly, Aakarshi Sawhney, Monica Sharma, Danish, Teg Bir Singh, Gurpreet Kaur, Navtej Singh, Jashanpreet Kaur, Nivedita Sharma, Deepak  and brajesh jolly.

Brajesh Jolly said that it was a memorable trip. Many artists photographed the location from different angles and made some sketches there. They enjoyed the lake water of Pong Dam. An exhibition of the sketches and photographs of this place is also planned in future at KT:Kala Amritsar.
