Dussehra celebrated at DAV Public School with great zeal

Amritsar, Oct. 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  Keeping the festive spirit alive DAV Public School Lawrence Road celebrated Dussehra with great zeal and enthusiasm. The festival of Dussehra signifies the victory of goodness over evil, light over darkness and happiness over gloom. The students of the school performed a short skit depicting the awe inspiring and divine life of Lord Rama and his victory over Ravana. In the end, they gave a message to overcome the vices like anger, greed, lust, arrogance, hatred, jealousy, ego etc. for a meaningful life. The colourful attires of the students enhanced the festive aura and they recited poems highlighting the significance of the day.

Regional Officer, Punjab Zone-A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar sent their best wishes to the students and teachers on the auspicious day of Dussehra. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school, blessed the students and advised them that mere knowledge is of no use if it is not put to good use. She asked the students to conquer their vices and strengthen their virtues for an ideal living.
