Rana Sodhi lauds Harbhajan for his voluntary decision to be part of Tandarust Mission

Harbhajan Had Called On Sports Minister Today

Chandigarh, Feb. 5 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Punjab Sports Minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi today lauded cricketer Harbhajan Singh for voluntarily deciding to contribute his part in promoting health and fitness under the state’s flagship Tandarust Punjab Mission.

Former India great Harbhajan Singh, who had called on state sports minister at his office here today afternoon, expressed his willingness to participate in the soon to be organised by the department later this month. Rana Sodhi appreciated the commitment and asked Harbhajan to leverage his appeal with youngsters in forwarding state government’s drive to eradicate drug menace from Punjab.

Lauding Captain Amarinder Singh’s visionary approach to promote sports culture, Harbhajan Singh said it was Punjab’s fortune and good luck that since long a sportsman like Rana Sodhi was at the helm of affairs. Being an athlete, Rana Sodhi ji knows the needs of a sportsoerson which was the best thing for the sporting ecosystem to evolve, he added.

Harbhajan Singh also appreciated sports Minister for choosing to get the frames of all proud Olympians and national and international athletes displayed in his office room. This shows his passion for the sports, he added.
