CM Greets people on ‘Ram Navami’

Captain AmrinderChandigarh, April 12 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday extended greetings to the people of Punjab on the auspicious occasion of ‘Ram Navami’, the birth anniversary of Lord Rama.

In his message on Ram Navami, Captain Amarinder Singh said that this sacred festival symbolizes the unity of mankind and brotherhood, besides inspiring the people with the moral and spiritual values preached by Lord Rama (Maryada Purshottam).  The Chief Minister said that Lord Rama showed us the path of ideal and virtuous living to carve out a prosperous and harmonious society.

Captain Amarinder Singh exhorted the people to follow the teachings of Lord Rama in the true spirit, as these were relevant even in the present materialistic society and could help rid the society of the yoke of evils. He said that such pious occasions not only promote a sense of communal harmony, brotherhood and mutual understanding amongst the people but also shower bountiful joy and prosperity on them.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people to celebrate this auspicious day in a spirit of togetherness and bonhomie, rising above the parochial considerations of caste, colour, creed and religion.
