Play on Jallianwala Bagh at Art Gallery on April 20

Amritsar, April 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A theatrical presentation on Jallianwala Bagh will be organized at local Indian Academy of Fine Arts (IAFA) on Saturday. The play to be directed by Chakresh Kumar from Alankaar Theatre Group, Chandigarh, is written by Gaurav Kumar and Ankush and will be staged by the Art Gallery in collaboration of North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala, said honourary general secretary Dr. AS Chamak.

The play he said is a tribute to the martyrs of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and how the tragic incident and its after effects that left scares on the affected souls for all the times to come. Chief guests at the occasion will be Chairman of IAFA RMS Chhina and President Shivdev Singh. The play he said would start 6.00 pm sharp in the auditorium hall of the gallery.

A photo exhibition `Kaame Desh Punjab De’ (Workers from land of Punjab) by Jaspal Kamana in collaboration of Punjab Lalit Kala Academy will also be organized, said Dr. Chamak
