BBK DAV College wins GNDU Inter College Track Cycling Championship Trophy

Amritsar, Sept. 23 ( Punjab Post Bureau)- The Cycling team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, lifted the Guru Nanak Dev University Inter College Track Cycling Championship trophy held at GNDU. The College cyclists displayed a splendid performance by winning the trophy with a great margin. The college team won with 32 points, the runners up team of GNDU Campus secured 12 points and HMV College, Jalandhar team secured second runners up position with 9 points. In 1500 meter event the college team stood 1^st while HMV College and GNDU bagged 2^nd and 3^rd positions respectively. In Team Olympic Sprint event the college got Ist position.

In Team Time Trial Individual event Ms. Parvathy V.G, Ms. Sayono P.O and Ms. Jasmine of the college won gold medals. In Mass Starts Individual event Ms. Manisha G secured 2^nd position and Ms. Narpinder got 3^rd position. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra along with HOD of the Sports department Ms. Sweety Bala congratulated the students for their achievement. Also Ms. Sweety Bala informed that all the players have been selected for All India Inter-University to be held in GNDU.
