Realease Book Sangeetacharya Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha

Nabha, November, 7 (Punajb Post Bureau)- Punjabi University Vice-Chancellor Dr Jaspal Singh released book “Sangeetacharya Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha” written by Dr Ravinder Kaur Ravi, an assistant professor at the Music Department of the varsity. The book is based on music-related writings of Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha and published by Navyug publisher Delhi. Dr Ravinder Kaur Ravi had earlier written two books-“Bikhre Moti” and “Itihaas Khandaan Raees Bagrian”.

Major AP Singh, great grandson of Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha, and head of the Gurmat Music Department Dr Gurnam Singh,Dr Yashpal Sharma,Dr Navjot Kasel,Dr Jayoti Sharma,Dr Jagmail Bhathuan & Cap.J.P.S.Randhawa, was also present on the occasion.

Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha was an intellectual of the 19^th century whose writings and action left a deep impect on the Punjabi world.He wrote the first definitive encyclopeadia in Punjabi Gurshabad Ratnakar Mahankosh.
