Khalsa College players won bronze medal in the Commonwealth

Amritsar, August 22 (Punkab Post Bureau) – Two girl students of Khalsa College won 2 bronze medals in senior and junior Commonwealth Fencing Championship held in London, England from August 9 to 16, said College Principal Dr. Mahal Singh who congratulated the students for their marvelous victory.

            Jagmeet Kaur a student of Social Science bagged the bronze medal in Fencing in the Sabre Team Event (Senior) while Shreya, another student of BA, bagged bronze in Sabre Team Event (Junior). Jagmeet who arrived at the campus today was given a warm welcome.

            Dr. Mehal Singh said that on the instructions of Honorary Secretary, Khalsa College Governing Council Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, the students are being offered best infrastructure for sports, cultural and academic activities.

            On this occasion Dr. Mahal Singh congratulated Sports In charge and Head of the Physical Department, Dr. Daljit Singh and both students for their achievements.
