Holy Hawan organized at Urvi Auditorium in BBK DAV Collegiate Sen. Sec. School

Amritsar, 21 May (Jagdeep Singh)- An auspicious and holy hawan was organized at Urvi Auditorium in BBK DAV Collegiate Sen. Sec. School, Amritsar on 21^st May, 2014 to mark the beginning of the session 2014-2015 for 10+1 & 10+2. Hawan is a regular feature in the college, and it is performed daily in Yajyashala during the working days. Through this practice the students learn the importance of their rich cultural heritage. Amidst the chanting of sacred Mantras and holy hymns, students and staff prayed to the Almighty for his divine grace and blessing. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra addressed the students and motivated them to imbibe good values of hard work, punctuality, regularity and discipline in them. She said that it is essential to be true and sincere to oneself to achieve success in life. Sh. Sudershan Kapoor LMC Chairman gave away the prizes to those students who bagged state merit. Dr. Lakhanpal, LMC Member distributed his book “Vedic Havan” amongst the students that is written in collaboration with Principal Mrs. Anjana Gupta. Prof. Mrs. Poonam Kohli, Prof. Mr. Ashok Malhotra, Prof. Mrs. Jijna Gupta, Prof. Mrs. Preeti Mahajan were also present on the occasion.
