Seminar on Capacity Building Programme on Life Skills

Amritsar, January 10 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Keeping in view the ardent need to acquaint the teachers about various

skills to ‘act as a Role Model’ an extensive seminar was conducted in S.G.H. Sr. Sec. Public School, G.T. Road in auditorium on ‘Capacity Building Programme on Life Skills”. The resource person was Mrs. Anupama Sharma Principal of MRA DAV Sr. Sec School, Sonal (H.P). She expressed through visual medium those life skills abilities facilitate the physical, mental and emotional well being of an individual. She also discussed teaching tips and class room management that primary aim of education is not what they do inside school but to prepare them to face challenges all around. About 59 teachers from C.B.S.E. schools attended the seminar. The object of the seminar was to inculcate various life skills in teaching to make classroom teaching, interesting and lively. The resource person conducted interesting and innovative questionnaire, discussions, debates, quiz and stories to make teaching learning activities more interesting. The teachers put forth various queries which were satisfied. Headmistress Mrs. Kawalpreet Kaur expressed her gratitude to the resource person and highlighted that such seminars inculcate adaptive and positive behavior that enables to deal effectively with the challenges of everyday life. Mrs. Renu Ahuja Vice Principal appraised and honored the resource person. Headmistress Mrs. Nischint Kahlon and Mrs. Manju Sapra graced the occasion. Overall it was a fruitful experience for the teachers.
