Amritsar, Aug. 20 ( Punjab Post Bureau)- CBSE organized a seven day Writing Series Competition both online and offline based on the life of Sri Pingali Venkayya in which more than 25,000 students participated from all over India. The competition was organized for students from classes I to XII . Topic for each day was given on the spot.
Chaitanya Aggarwal of Std XI of DAV Public School , Lawrence Road, Amritsar bagged the Top position and won a cash prize of Rs.30,000. He is the only student to receive the cash prize of Rs. 30,000. He won a cash prize of Rs.5000 each for his entry in English and Hindi respectively and Rs.20,000 for Popular Choice Award based on on – line voting. He was felicitated at a grand function held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi and was a part of the winning team of 14 children who were awarded with a Certificate of Excellence by the honourable Minister of HRD Smt. Samriti Zubin Irani. He also received a message from the desk of the honourable Prime Minister.
Arya Ratan Sh.Punam Suri ji President DAV CMC , New Delhi applauded the effort of the student and sent his best wishes for him. He said that the students need to learn from the inspiring life of the great people and imbibe their values in life .
