Net Direct Tax collections represent\u00a039.4%\u00a0of the total Budget Estimates of Direct Taxes for F.Y. 2017-18 (Rs. 9.8 lakh crore). Gross collections (before adjusting for refunds) have increased by\u00a010.3%\u00a0to\u00a0Rs. 4.66 lakh crore\u00a0during April to September, 2017. Refunds amounting to\u00a0Rs.79,660 crore\u00a0have been issued during April to September, 2017.\u00a0An amount of\u00a0Rs. 1.77 lakh crore\u00a0has been received as\u00a0Advance Tax\u00a0up to 30th September, 2017 reflecting a growth of\u00a011.5%over the Advance Tax payments of the corresponding period of last year.
