Jawahar Lal Nerhu, the first Prime Minister of\u00a0 free India to mark his birth anniversary which\u00a0 is celebrated as Children\u2019s Day on 14<sup>th<\/sup> November every year. The day commemorates Pt. Nehru\u2019s affection for children and his belief that children are the future of the country and if they are nurtured properly and educated well, the country\u2019s future will be bright.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To make the day special for children, the morning assembly was conducted by the teachers of the school. The teachers sang inspiring songs for the students. They recited poems and informed the students about the relevance of the day. Through well chosen songs and poems, the teachers gave the message of imbibing values of honesty, brotherhood and sacrifice. They gave\u00a0 the message of blending ones rights with the duties in an effective way for\u00a0 a rightful living. The teachers presented a Nukkad Natak highlighting the current scenario of digitisation and gave a message to imbibe moral values in their lives. \u00a0Entertaining the students through folk songs , the\u00a0 teachers sensitised and encouraged them to live in harmony \u00a0and spread happiness around.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regional Director Punjab Zone \u2013 A Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh\u00a0 Kumar , Principal DAV College Amritsar sent their blessings for\u00a0 the students on this occasion. They added that it was the duty of every citizen of India to realise the dream of the Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. They advised the students to work hard and give their best in their chosen field to make the country proud.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school congratulated the students on their day. She added that the day was special but it also brought responsibilities with it.
