{"id":115766,"date":"2018-01-29T19:08:34","date_gmt":"2018-01-29T19:08:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/?p=115766"},"modified":"2018-01-29T19:08:34","modified_gmt":"2018-01-29T19:08:34","slug":"vajra-air-defence-brigade-felicitates-veer-naaris-widows","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/115766","title":{"rendered":"VAJRA AIR DEFENCE BRIGADE FELICITATES VEER NAARIS AND WIDOWS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jalandhar , Jan. 29 (Punjab Post Bureau) &#8211; Vajra Air Defence Brigade under the aegis of Vajra Corps of Indian Army organised a Veer Naari Meet at Ludhiana to felicitate the Veer Naaris.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-115768\" src=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/PPN2901201802.jpg\" alt=\"PPN2901201802\" width=\"800\" height=\"303\" srcset=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/PPN2901201802.jpg 800w, https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/PPN2901201802-300x114.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lt Gen Dushyant Singh, Corps Commander was the chief guest on the occasion.\u00a0 He was accompanied by Mrs Usha Singh Zonal President, Vajra Army Wives Welfare Association.\u00a0 The aim of the event was to remain in contact with the kith and kin of the heroes of Indian Army who laid down their lives in highest traditions of Indian Army.\u00a0 Brig Manish Arora, Station Commander Ludhiana Military Station addressed the gathering and highlighted various facilities that were provided at the meet.\u00a0 Mr RN Dhoke, Commissioner of Police and Mr Pradeep Kumar Agarwal, District Collector\u00a0 were also present on the occasion.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-115767\" src=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/PPN2901201801.jpg\" alt=\"PPN2901201801\" width=\"600\" height=\"340\" srcset=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/PPN2901201801.jpg 600w, https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/PPN2901201801-300x170.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/> Representatives from various agencies of Army and Civil administration were present\u00a0 to resolve the problems of the Veer Naaris at a common place.\u00a0 Medical Camp, Pension related issues, placement cell and info on various other schemes run by Indian Army and Govt was provided to the attendees.<\/p>\n<p>The Veer Naaris and widows were felicitated by the Corps Commander.\u00a0 Medical aid in terms of equipment such as wheel chairs, hearing aid, lumbar belts etc were also distributed.<\/p>\n<p>The event witnessed a large gathering of persons including Veer Naaris, widows and their dependents. The occasion was also graced by number of dignitaries from the Corporate Sector, who came out in full support of this event.\u00a0 Students from Government College for Girls, Ludhiana and KVM school performed in honour of these Veer Naaris and kept everyone entertained.<\/p>\n<p>Photographs of War Heroes whose Veer Naaris were present were also displayed during the event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jalandhar , Jan. 29 (Punjab Post Bureau) &#8211;
