Commissioner of Income Tax -1\/2 Jalandhar which apart from Jalandhar, include Nawashahar, Dasuya, Hoshiarpur, Phagwara, Kapurthala and Nakodar. Special and prompt attention will be given to grievances related to pending rectification applications (u\/s 154 of the IT Act, 1961) and refunds rising out of pending appeal effect orders in the case of tax payers. The IT Department has also requested the various Tax Bar Associations and CA Associations in the city to come forward so that prompt disposal can be made in such cases.
