Amritsar, Sept. 20 (Punjab Post Bureau)- DAV Public School , Lawrence Road , bagged top positions in swimming in different tournaments. In CBSE North Zone II Swimming tournament held recently at Delhi Public School in Rohtak , the following students clinched medals in different swimming events :<\/p>\n

  1. Drishti Mahindru of Std VIII – Gold Medal in 50mt & 200 mt. Back stroke and Individual Medley.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    – Silver Medal in 100 mt Back stroke<\/p>\n

    – Bronze Medal in 100 mt. Free Style<\/p>\n

    1. Satyam Mahindru of 10+1 Com.\u00a0\u00a0 \u2013 Gold Medal in 400 m Individual Medley and Bronze Medal in 50mt<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      and 100 mt. Breast stroke<\/p>\n

      1. Abhiraj Mehra of Std X – Bronze Medal in 100 mt and 50 mt . Back stroke.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        In another tournament, 39th<\/sup> Open Junior Pb. Swimming Championship held at Ludhiana , following are the prizes :<\/p>\n

        Drishti Mahindru of VIII – Gold Medal in 200 mt. & 50mt. .Back Storke<\/p>\n

        Silver Medal in 100 mt .Back Stoke<\/p>\n

        Bronze Medal in 200 mt .Individual Medley.<\/p>\n

        1. Satyam Mahindru of 10 + 1 – Silver Medal in 4 x 200 mt .Free style Relay and Bronze Medal in<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          200 mt Butterfly.<\/p>\n

          1. Abhiraj Mehra of Std X – Bronze Medal in 200 mt . & 50 mt Back Stroke<\/li>\n
          2. Saksham Sharma of Std VII – Bronze Medal in 4 x 100 mt. Free style Relay .<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            \u00a0Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women , Lawrence Road , Amritsar and the Manager of the school Dr.K.N. Kaul Principal DAV College , Hathi Gate , Amritsar applauded the efforts of the students and encouraged them to do their best in the coming tournaments. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school congratulated the students and said ,\u2019 Swimming is a complete fitness exercise, so students must practice it on regular basis.\u2019 She also added that she was happy to see students excelling in it and aiming to do better in future .<\/p>\n
