They also thanked Captain Amarinder for announcing a pension scheme for veteran journalists, besides giving exemption to journalists from toll tax on the State highways.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-154058\" src=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/PUNJ2108201906.jpg\" alt=\"PUNJ2108201906\" width=\"797\" height=\"438\" srcset=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/PUNJ2108201906.jpg 797w, https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/PUNJ2108201906-300x165.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 797px) 100vw, 797px\" \/>&nbsp;&nbsp; Journalist Jagtar Singh Sidhu said with these pro-journalist initiatives, the Captain Amarinder led Congress Government had sent a positive message across the national media.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to the welfare of the journalists, who performed tough tasks in their line of duty, and also recalled his personal ties with many journalists during his political career. In response to a request from the delegation, he said he was always ready to address their grievances.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The delegation included Union Secretary General Pritam Rupal, Sarbjit Singh Dhaliwal, Darshan Singh Khokhar, Jai Singh Chibber, Jagtar Singh Bhullar, Bindu Singh, Tarlochan Singh, Sarbjit Bhangu, Davinder Singh Bhangu, Santosh Gupta, Vikramjit Singh Mann, besides other members of union from district headquarters.
