The main aim of this celebration was to create awareness and importance of digital literacy in the society. A total of 81 Students from different streams participated in competitions like Collage making, Extempore, Logo Design and Programming skills with great zeal and enthusiasm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While briefing the students, Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar appreciated the need of such celebration as such platform provides&nbsp;opportunity to students where they can showcase their hidden talent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking on the occasion, Prof Vikram Sharma, Head Department said that such events prove to be regular activity for the department and it helped them unfold their inner creativity. He further added that the winners in each activity were given mementos and certificates. In Logo-design competition, Danish of Bdmm 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Sem stood Ist, &nbsp; Avipal&nbsp; of Bdmm 5<sup>th<\/sup> stood&nbsp; 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, Vishu&nbsp; of BCA&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;1<sup>st<\/sup> stood 3rd.&nbsp; In Collage Making, Prerna&nbsp;of &nbsp;&nbsp;BSC(IT) 3<sup>rd<\/sup> stood Ist, Inderbir of&nbsp; Bdmm&nbsp; &nbsp;1<sup>st<\/sup> &nbsp;Stood 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, Muskan of BCA&nbsp;&nbsp;3<sup>rd<\/sup> stood 3<sup>rd<\/sup>&nbsp; and&nbsp; In Programming Skills competition, Shivam&nbsp; of &nbsp;BSC(IT)5<sup>th<\/sup> stood Ist, Shashank &nbsp;of BSC(IT)3<sup>rd<\/sup> sem stood&nbsp; 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, Deepak&nbsp;of BSC(IT)5<sup>th<\/sup> stood 3<sup>rd<\/sup> and In Extempore Competition Rajbir kaur&nbsp;of &nbsp; BCA 1<sup>st<\/sup> stood Ist,&nbsp; Navaldeep of &nbsp; BCA 1<sup>st<\/sup> stood 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, Jatinder of BSC 3<sup>rd<\/sup> stood 3<sup>rd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prof. Sanjiv Dutta, Prof.Vivek Aggarwal, Prof. Rama, Prof. Sandeep Sharma, Prof. Puneet Sharma and Prof. Renu were also present.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amritsar, Sept 12 (Punjab Post Bureau) &#8211; PG Dept. of CS &amp; IT of DAV College in collaboration with UNESCO&nbsp;celebrated &#8220;International Literacy Day&#8221; under Star college scheme of DBT (GOI).
