Many students took part in spreading the message of Healthy Bones and joints of the body.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Students of Amandeep College of Nursing and Guru Harkrishan Public School and representatives of various organizations of the city gathered this morning in the Company Bagh to participate in the Walkathon organized in association with Amandeep Group of Hospitals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; On this occasion, flagging off the walkathon Deputy Commissioner Shivdular Singh Dhillon said, \u201cThis effort of the Chamber is commendable. Such events should be held regularly.\u201d Speaking on the occasion, the Chamber&#8217;s Mentor R.S Sachdeva said, \u201cWhile the Chamber acts as a bridge between the government and industrialists, such programmes are organized while discharging social responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; On this occasion, Amandeep Kaur CEO of Amandeep Group of Hospitals and Chief Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon Avtar Singh, while giving a health message, said that due to changing lifestyle and eating habits, bones of the body are getting weaker. The problem is now becoming common. In such a situation, regular walks can prevent such problems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Walkathon organized with the aim of spreading awareness to strengthen the bones and joints of the city residents, started from the Company Bagh in the city and culminated in the Pitex Ground at Ranjit Avenue via Nawalti Chowk, Income Tax Chowk and Mother Teresa Chowk.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jaideep Singh Convener Amritsar, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Pitex Ground, thanked all the students and hospital managers, and said that similar events would be organized in the future as well.
