The day aimed to celebrate healthy eating and well being of the students in schools. A special morning assembly was organized by the students where the students spoke about nutritious school meals promoting healthy living. The students also talked about the increasing liking of fast food among students which is taking toll\u00a0 on their health. The students also presented\u00a0 an R J show depicting their hesitation to eat home made nutritional food. The message of healthy eating was presented in a very interesting way. In the end the students took a pledge to develop healthy eating habits and a liking for home made nutritional food. Regional Director Amritsar Zone (Dr.) Mrs. Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women Lawrence Road,\u00a0 and the Manager of the School Dr. K.N. Kaul Principal DAV College , Hathi Gate also stressed upon the idea of eating healthy food for a long and disease free life. The Principal of the school Dr. Neera Sharma advised the students\u00a0 to understand the importance of healthy eating.
