Colonel Manu Chaudhary, Team leader, Amritsar Smart City Limited and Deepak Kumar Tourist officer Department of Tourism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the inaugural session Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar gave a floral welcome to all the guests present. While speaking on the occasion, he congratulated Prof. Shilpi Seth, Head of Department of History\/ Travel and Tourism for organizing this event as it will make scholars and students aware about the issues of sustainable tourism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prof. Shilpi Seth, Head of Department of History\/ Tourism and Travel spoke about inclusive tourism growth in the city and the challenges being faced by the tourism industry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Commissioner Ms. Komal Mittal spoke about the tourism potential of Amritsar city. She talked about the need for upgrading and maintaining the heritage buildings of the city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Lt. Colonel Manu Chaudhary said that sustainable tourism should respect the socio cultural authenticity of the host city and ensure viable and long term economic operations providing stable and income earning opportunities to the residents of the city<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In the valedictory address, Vice Principal Dr. Darshandeep Singh gave the vote of thanks to all.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
