{"id":169640,"date":"2020-04-17T18:51:48","date_gmt":"2020-04-17T18:51:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/?p=169640"},"modified":"2020-04-17T18:51:48","modified_gmt":"2020-04-17T18:51:48","slug":"punjab-go-plasma-therapy-covid-19-positive-ludhiana-acp-anil-kohli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/169640","title":{"rendered":"Punjab to go for Plasma Therapy of Covid-19 Positive Ludhiana ACP Anil Kohli"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ludhiana, April 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) &#8211; In the first such COVID-19 treatment in the state, the Punjab Government <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-168458 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Covid-19.jpg\" alt=\"Covid 19\" width=\"522\" height=\"356\" srcset=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Covid-19.jpg 522w, https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Covid-19-300x205.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 522px) 100vw, 522px\" \/>is supporting the medical team of SPS Hospital Ludhiana which has decided to go for plasma therapy of Ludhiana ACP Mr. Anil Kohli who was diagnosed positive for the Coronavirus few days ago.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; This was disclosed by an official spokesperson after the Video Conference at which Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh reviewed the COVID-19 situation in the state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The family of the Punjab Police ACP, who is admitted in Ludhiana\u2019s Apollo hospital has given permission for the therapy, for which the DHS Punjab is coordinating potential plasma donors. The latest technology will be used in the therapy, it was earlier disclosed at the video conference. The therapy is being arranged by the state government\u2019s health advisor Dr. K.K Talwar, former Director of PGIMER.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;On Dr. Talwar\u2019s request Dr. Neelam Marwaha, former Head of Department Blood Transfusion Department PGI had agreed to guide the efforts for plasma therapy, the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Meanwhile,&nbsp; three persons who had come in contact with Mr Anil Kohli have also tested for COVID-19. They have been identified as his wife, Mrs Palak Kohli,&nbsp;his driver Constable Mr. Prabhjot Singh of Ferozepur and L\/SI Miss Arshpreet Kaur Grewal SHO Jodhewal (in area of Sub Division under Anil Kohli).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ludhiana, April 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) &#8211;
