{"id":170327,"date":"2020-04-26T18:41:56","date_gmt":"2020-04-26T18:41:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/?p=170327"},"modified":"2020-04-26T18:41:56","modified_gmt":"2020-04-26T18:41:56","slug":"cimaps-herbal-products-may-boost-immunity-avoid-infection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/170327","title":{"rendered":"CIMAP\u2019s Herbal products may boost immunity to avoid infection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">New Delhi, April 26 (Punjab Post Bureau) &#8211; Researchers at Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-170328 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Herbal-Product-Immunity.jpg\" alt=\"Herbal Product Immunity\" width=\"500\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Herbal-Product-Immunity.jpg 500w, https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Herbal-Product-Immunity-300x202.jpg 300w, https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Herbal-Product-Immunity-290x195.jpg 290w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>(CIMAP), Lucknow, has developed scientifically proven two herbal products, which can boost the immunity of the persons as well as help in alleviating the dry cough symptom generally associated with the coronavirus infection.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; CIMAP, a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), has decided to transfer the technology of its herbal products \u2018CIM-Paushak\u2019 and \u2018Herbal Cough Syrup\u2019 to the entrepreneurs and start-up companies. These two products were found to be effective in boosting the immunity of a person. Twelve valuable herbs including Puranva, Ashwagandha, Mulethi, Harad, Baheda and Sataver compounds have been used in both these products.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe Institute would provide its pilot facility for manufacturing these herbal products &#8211; \u2018CIM-Paushak\u2019 and \u2018Herbal Cough Syrup\u2019 &#8211; to entrepreneurs and start-ups after signing of the MoU and transfer of technology\u201d, said Dr. Prabodh&nbsp; K. Trivedi, Director, CIMAP. This pilot plant is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a quality control cell.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u201cScientific studies have shown that \u2018CIM-Puashak\u2019 has performed better than other available immunity booster products in the market. It has also been found to be cheap, safe and effective in the animal trials conducted in the institute\u201d, said Dr. D.N. Mani, lead researcher of the study. Herbal Cough Syrup is developed based on latest guidelines of the AYUSH ministry, and it has been prepared on the basis of the \u2018Tridosha\u2019 principle of Ayurveda, explained Dr. Mani.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;According to health experts, coronavirus reduces the immune response of the infected person and it has been observed that this pandemic has mostly affected people with low immune system.
