{"id":173289,"date":"2020-05-26T18:54:58","date_gmt":"2020-05-26T18:54:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/?p=173289"},"modified":"2020-05-26T18:54:58","modified_gmt":"2020-05-26T18:54:58","slug":"indian-railways-operationalises-3274-shramik-special-trains-till-25th-may","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/173289","title":{"rendered":"Indian Railways operationalises 3274 \u201cShramik Special\u201d trains till 25th May"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi, May 26 (Punjab Post Bureau) &#8211; <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Subsequent to the Ministry of Home Affairs order regarding movement <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-171999 size-full alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Rail1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"408\" srcset=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Rail1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Rail1-300x204.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>of migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons stranded at different places by special trains, Indian Railways had decided to operate \u201cShramik Special\u201d trains form 1st May 2020.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; As on 25th May 2020, a total of 3274 \u201cShramik Special\u201d trains have been operationalized from various states across the country. More than 44 lacs passengers have reached their home state by these \u201cShramik Special\u201d trains. On 25.05.2020, 223 Shramik Specials were moving 2.8 lacs passengers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;IRCTC distributed more than 74 lakh free meals and more than 1 crore water bottles to travelling migrants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; It may be noted that trains running today are not facing any congestion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; In addition to Shramik Specials, Railways are running 15 pairs of Special Trains connecting New Delhi and plans to start 200 more time tabled trains on 1st June.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi, May 26 (Punjab Post Bureau) &#8211;
