The training sessions are on and Google has offered the College a G-Suite search engine software programme at affordable costs to reach out to the students for E-Classes due to the lockdown in wake of Covid-19 spread.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Principal Dr. Mehal Singh said on the directions from the Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC), they reached out to the Google headquarters who guided their staff to offer the latest programs for E-Learning. &#8220;The education scenario is changing dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby teaching is all set to be adopted remotely through digital platforms\u201d, said Dr.Mehal Singh.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;He said that in the present scenario, they were going to commence online classes from the coming session 2020-21. Their staff led by HoD Computer Science Dr. Harbhajjan Singh and others have already started training regarding the platform to all the faculty members of the College, he said adding that after much deliberations G-Suite was adopted as platform for `online classes\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The software facilitates students to adopt online learning, establish teachers- students collaboration live and teachers can keep track of students\u2019 progress apart from attendance in classes. Prof. Harbhajan Singh emphasized that the platform is simple and secured. &#8220;Faculty of our college is trained to teach students\u2019 through online classes\u201d, he said.
