Prisoners serving sentences can take advantage of free legal aid and appeal to higher courts, he added. He also said that orders have been issued to settle the custody cases in the district courts on priority basis.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; During the inspection they also visited the Women&#8217;s Barracks and listened to the problems of women detainees besides instructing the jail administration to pay special attention to the cleanliness of the cooking area and to keep the food covered and provide clean drinking water.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Hon&#8217;ble District and Sessions Judge issued directions to the Superintendent Central Jail Kapurthala to take special care of cleanliness in the jail premises.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;
