Out of 185 Higher Education Institutions of India, GNDU was one amongst the top five universities nominated for the award in the category of \u2018Universities inexistence more than 30 years\u2019. The resilient, innovative, sustainable, and entrepreneurial practices were assessed by renowned jury members from India and abroad. The University has been shortlisted for this category in its first attempt only for its excellent work in higher education to highlight academic endeavour and research reflecting resilience, innovation, sustainability and entrepreneurial attitude even under pandemic conditions. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu has extended his thanks to FICCI for shortlisting the University for the Award. He expressed his pleasure and satisfaction on the performance of the University and said that the hard work of teachers, researchers and students of the University has propelled the University to higher peaks even during difficult times in the last year.
