{"id":191250,"date":"2021-05-18T15:29:43","date_gmt":"2021-05-18T15:29:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/?p=191250"},"modified":"2021-05-18T15:29:43","modified_gmt":"2021-05-18T15:29:43","slug":"amid-covid-19-pandemic-sgpc-to-continue-online-dharam-parchar-lehar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/191250","title":{"rendered":"Amid Covid-19 pandemic, SGPC to continue online Dharam Parchar Lehar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bibi Jagir Kaur inaugurates four-day workshop for preachers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Amritsar, May 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) &#8211; Amid the prevailing situation due to Covid-19 pandemic, the Shiromani <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-191233 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/PPNJ1705202108.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"798\" height=\"432\" srcset=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/PPNJ1705202108.jpg 798w, https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/PPNJ1705202108-300x162.jpg 300w, https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/PPNJ1705202108-768x416.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 798px) 100vw, 798px\" \/>Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) decided to carry forward its Dharam Prachar Lehar&nbsp;(Faith Preaching Movement)&nbsp;through online campaign, under which, a four-day online Gurmat (teachings of Sikh Gurus) workshop for the preachers (pracharaks) was inaugurated at the Dharam Prachar Committee office here on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; At the inauguration of the workshop, SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur addressed the preachers from different districts of Punjab and other states and asked them to make maximum efforts to connect children and youth with Gurmat through the internet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Bibi Jagir Kaur said, \u201cIn the present time, it is not possible to preach Sikh faith by gathering in large numbers or by reaching out to schools and colleges. Therefore, the sangat, especially the youth, should be reached with the use of information technology via the internet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Inaugurating the online Gurmat workshop for preachers, the SGPC president said, \u201cUnder the management of SGPC\u2019s Dharam Prachar Committee and different Sikh Missions, 250 pracharaks, 39 dhadi jathas (ballad-singing groups) and 54 kavishar jathas (poetry groups) are providing Dharam Prachar Sewa. At present it is not possible for these preaching groups to reach out to the sangat and preach Gurmat through large gatherings or programmes. Therefore, it has been decided to launch an online Dharam Prachar Lehar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Bibi Jagir Kaur said that last year also the online Dharam Prachar Lehar was very effective She said every day, lessons will be given and competitions in Gurbani recitation, poetry, quiz, speech, etc. will also be conducted.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;On this occasion SGPC members Bhai Manjit Singh Bhurakohna, Bhai Harpal Singh Jalla, assistant secretary S.
