Kapurthala, June 11 (Punjab Post Bureau) – ‘Mission Red Sky’ launched by the Punjab Government with the objective<\/p>\n

of bringing the drug addicted youth out of the drug swamp and into the mainstream has been a resounding success in Kapurthala district.<\/p>\n

               Since October 2020 its launch in the district, 103 such youth have found jobs in various companies who have given up drugs and joined “Mission Red sky”.<\/p>\n

                     Under this mission , youth registered with the OAT clinics have been identitified who have educational degrees or want to set up self employment units, followed by their preparation for interview for jobs.<\/p>\n

               Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Deepti Uppal states that initially in October 2020, the main objective was to identify such youths and then link them with OAT clinics to save them from the scourge of drugs A PCS officer SDM sultanpur lodhi Dr Charumita has been appointed as nodal officer for proper implementation of this mission.<\/p>\n

             The mission identified young people registered with oat clinics who were educated and able to work. They are paid a monthly salary of Rs. 6000 to 13000 besides incentives are also given according to the work.<\/p>\n

            She said that it has not only provided those jobs and self employment but also increased social acceptance of them in society.<\/p>\n

            During October and November 2020, each.4 youth were selected for the job, while in December and January, 3 and 9 youths were selected for the job respectively.<\/p>\n

            During February 2021, 23, March 18 and April 8, May 16 and 18 youth in June have been selected for the job.<\/p>\n

            Various reputed companies like Asian Tires, Jumato, Prime Cinema, Galaxy Edutech, Topaz Health CARE have selected these youngsters. The next camp in the district is being set up on June 18 at Phagwara.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
