Dr. Mahal, as the Director of the Niwas Asthan, shall among other needs look after its academic and administrative upkeep. Dr. Sukhbir Kaur has been the Principal of Khalsa College for Women for sixteen years.&nbsp;On this occasion Gunbir Singh (Honorary Vice President, Bhai Vir Singh Niwas Asthan) and Dr. Joginder Singh (former Director) was present.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Mahal said that she takes great pride in getting this opportunity to render her services to a rich heritage. She assured that she would carry out this responsibility with full dedication.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Gunbir Singh while welcoming Dr. Sukhbir Kaur Mahal said that in the serene Niwas Asthan of Bhai Sahib Bhai Vir Singh dwells the rich legacy of Punjabi as a contemporary idiom of expression. As a centre for interfaith spiritual dialogue and as an edifice of Sikh faith it defines the times of this &#8220;sixth river&#8221; of Punjab.
