Patiala bagged Punjab Yogasana Sports Championship 2021 while Amritsar got the first runner-up position and Ludhiana the second runner-up position. Chahat Sehgal, a student of BBK DAV College for Women, participated in Artistic <em>Yogasana <\/em>(solo as well as in pair) and won two gold medals. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia was the Chief Guest for the event.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 158 young <em>yoga<\/em> players participated in Punjab Yogasana Sports Championship 2021 from nine districts of Punjab, namely, Amritsar, Bathinda, Gurdaspur, Fazilka, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Pathankot and Muktsar. 28 judges from Punjab adjudged the performance of the participants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia, in her address, said that the introduction of <em>Yogasana<\/em> as a competitive sport is a welcome initiative. She added that it would certainly go a long way in promoting <em>yoga<\/em> as a wholesome practice among the people to stay fit. Principal Dr. Walia and Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, were honoured with the trophy on the occasion.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Khelo India Youth Games Selection Trials were also conducted.&nbsp; 15 PYSA officials, Sr. Vice-President Narpinder Singh, Vice-President Sanjeev Tyagi, Vice-President Dr. Akalkala, of Amritsar Yogasana Sports Association and the staff members of the college graced the occasion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amritsar, November 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) &#8211; BBK DAV College for Women, in collaboration with Amritsar Yogasana Sports Association, organized Punjab Yogasana Sports Championship 2021.
