Amritsar, Nov. 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Performing arts and creative arts are an integral part of curriculum along with sports and academics at Spring Blossoms School. Delving into our rich history and culture, young Spring Blossomers took the spellbound audience into the picturesque world of Akbar and Birbal to have a glimpse of our illustrious past during their two day Annual Show titled \u2018Unwinding Times\u2019. The show was held at the premises of Spring Dale Senior School on 22nd<\/sup> & 23rd <\/sup>November 2014 i.e. Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n The two day event was marked by four shows, each presided by a different chief guest. The show was inaugurated on 22nd<\/sup> November 2014 by Mr. Ravi Bhagat<\/em> (Deputy Commissioner Amritsar), whereas Mrs. Tarundeep Kaur<\/em> (Deputy Commissioner, Income Tax, Amritsar) was the guest of honour. The afternoon show was presided over by Mr. Sandip Rishi<\/em> (Chairman Improvement Trust, Amritsar ). On 23rd<\/sup> November 2014 Mr. Pinak Moudgil<\/em> (Director, Fortis Escorts Hospital, Amritsar) and Mr. Nitin Saini<\/em> (Additional Commissioner Customs, Amritsar) will preside over the Morning and Afternoon shows respectively.<\/p>\n Students between the age group of 3-6 years presented a colourful, spectacular and gala event and transported the mesmerized audience into the magnificent times of Mughal era. The theme of the show had been chosen to inculcate moral values and virtues in our children and to imbibe the invaluable life skills reflected from our glorious heritage in them. Employing the medium of music, dance and drama the students portrayed the lifestyles of the people of Mughal period. The dazzling costumes and elaborate props reflected the grandiose of the times.<\/p>\n Chief Guest Mr. Ravi Bhagat was highly impressed by the spectacular and grand ambience and said that it reminded him of Kingdom of Dreams. He also appreciated the theme of the show and said that such shows that inculcate values should be encouraged to make our children responsible citizens of tomorrow. Principal Mrs. Anupama Mehra said that the show was indeed a unique blend of our splendid past and progressive present, gelled smoothly with ethics and principles needed by human race for all times to come. \u201cWhat we need today is a civilized society of well groomed citizens with deep convictions about human rights, a society where everyone contributes fruitfully to the global community, \u201d she added.<\/p>\n Directors Spring Blossoms School, Mr. Sahiljit Singh Sandhu and Dr. Kirat Sandhu Cheema appreciated the hard work of the team and congratulated the students for putting up an impressive show.
