Amritsar, October 20 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Member of Parliament for Amritsar Gurjeet Singh Aujla today held at \"\"meeting at JCP Attari with the officials of Landport Authority of India, Indian Customs, Border Security Force of India, National Highway Authority of India regarding the development works being carried out at JCP and ICP Attari including the installation of high mast flag post and beautification works at JCP, rejected truck scanner, passenger facilitates and improvements, renovation and development of infrastructure at ICP, parking issues, farmers and border fence issues, highway projects etc.<\/p>\n

\"\"Addressing the media people Aujla said that after decade long struggle and half decade long installation process the truck scanner installed at ICP Amritsar failed tests and is rendered defunct. He said that certain anti India lobby had not included experts from Customs and other agencies in the committee formed to procure the scanner due to which it failed at the tests. The tender allotted to Punj Lloyd was cancelled and the scanner is being dismantled for return. He said that the enemy in within us only and is surely linked to the cross border anti India lobby. Aujla further added that he will be taking up this matter with MHA and PMO during winter session of Lok Sabha.<\/p>\n

Aujla told that MHA and GOI has honored the request he made in May 2020 regarding installation of high mast flag post. He further said that a new 418 ft flagpost is going to be installed by NHAI.<\/p>\n

He said that other matters related to trade, porters, pensions etc. shall be taken up at Lok Sabha session and PMO.<\/p>\n

CO 144 Bn at JCP Jasbir Singh, CO 168 Bn at ICP Pardeep Singh, DC Customs Atul Kumar Tirkey, NHAI PD Sunil Yadav, LPAI Manager Satish and others were present for briefing.<\/p>\n
