Thus the stress is must on education for the girls in Punjab. This was stated by Varun Nagpal, PCS, Member Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Tarn Taran who was speaking at a seminar on `Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao\u2019 at Khalsa College of Education (KCE) here today. He said the sensitization drive is must for the youth at the school level to educate them about the gender equality and women status in the society. He said the education also makes the women economically independent thus making their position within the family and outside respectable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">KCE Principal Dr.Jaswinder Singh Dhillon who welcomed the guests and said the seminar was organized to create awareness about the gender sensitization. Dr.Baljit Kaur, National Family Health Trainer also spoke on the subject apart from Prof. Rashpal Khambra, from Lovely Professional University and Doordarshan, Jalandhar.
