Dr. Neera Sharma, an icon of women Empowerment and representing the younger generation received the honour from the Cabinet Minister Sh. Anil Joshi who was the honourable Chief Guest at the function. She received the award for her continous and diligent efforts in the field of education. The award is also a recognition for her excellent work as the Principal in the promotion of education and upliftment of the weaker sections of the society. This award was given to the eminent people from different walks of life who had made a mark in their field of activity. Deputy Commissioner Sh. Ravi Bhagat, Police Commissioner Sh.Jatinder Singh Aulakh, Mayor Amritsar, Sh.Bakshi Ram Arora and others were the eminent guests present.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College congratulated her on receiving the award. They said that it was an honour for the whole DAV Family as it entrusts ones faith in hard Work.
