Sushil Kumar Agarawal, IRS, Commissioner of Income Tax-II, Amritsar has been promoted as Principal Commissioner of Income Tax-II, Amritsar by the latest order released by Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India. This post of Principal Commissioner of Income Tax is newly created post and Sh. Agarawal is among the first batch of Commissioners all over the India to be given the said Rank. On this occasion he was congratulated and felicitated by the Officers and the Staff of the Income Tax Department, Amritsar alongwith Bar Association and prominent tax payers of the city. Sh. Agarawal also addressed the officers and the staff of the department on this occasion and said that this promotion is a big Honour and at the same time it signifies a huge responsibility given by the Govt. of India. He said that he will continue to work towards fulfillment of the targets of Revenue collection and tax payer services delivery as per the guidelines of the government. He also addressed the media and said that the people of Amritsar should pay their due taxes and fulfill their National Responsibility.
