(Computer Science) and M.Sc. (Internet Studies). Ms. Kiran Gupta, Head of the Department extended floral welcome to the subject expert. He started the lecture with the introduction of image and the image processing techniques such as Image Enhancement, Image Restoration and Image Segmentation. He further practically demonstrated the reading of an image, complement of an image, intensity variation of an image, histogram processing of an image, RGB to grey scale conversion and display of an image using MATLAB. He also discussed gamma transformation of an image and how to find a threshold value of an image. He concluded by saying that image processing when implemented using MATLAB is much easier to understand and perform. The queries of students were adequately answered by the resource person.
