He was one of the most radical socio \u2013 religious reformer in the Indian history. A\u00a0 special morning assembly was arranged on this occasion. The students read out excerpts from his inspiring and\u00a0 enlightening life . Many poems narrating his awe \u2013 inspiring life were recited by the students. This great scholar,\u00a0 philosopher and visionary opposed child marriage , caste\u00a0 distinction, untouchability, idol worship and animal sacrifice. His message to all was \u2018Back to Vedas\u2019 . He published many religious books including \u2018Sathyaprakash\u2019 which means light to truth. The students while paying reverence to Swami ji took a pledge to follow the path shown by Swami Dayanand Saraswati who advocated enlightened citizens free from the shackles of ignorance and superstitions. Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK\u00a0 DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road , Amritsar and the Manager of the school Dr.Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College , Hathi Gate , Amritsar sent their best wishes for the students on this occasion. They advised the students to always remember the ten principles of Arya Samaj to live this life in a rightful way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Principal of the school Dr.Neera Sharma gave her blessings to the students and said that there was so\u00a0 much to learn from the life of this great scholar,\u00a0 reformer and philosopher .
