The students sang patriotic songs and recited poems saluting the indomitable spirit of\u00a0 the freedom fighter who laid his life for his country. The students presented\u00a0 a short role\u2013 play highlighting the ideology and patriotism of the martyr. The\u00a0 morning assembly reverberated with the slogans of \u2018Inquilab Zindabad\u2019 inspiring the\u00a0 students to imbibe values of nationalism and patriotism for \u00a0the sake of \u00a0the country. Bhagat Singh was an Indian socialist considered to be an influential revolutionary of the Indian independence movement. His legacy prompted the youth in India to persist fighting for independence and he continues to be a youth idol in modern India and an inspiration to many. In the end the students took a pledge to serve the nation selflessly and join hands to free it from social evils.<\/p>\n<p>Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road and the Manager of school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College sent\u00a0 their best wishes to the students and asked them to rise above selfish motives and work together for the betterment of the society. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school said that we must try to tread the path of\u00a0 courage and grit and endure all odds like a true fighter.
