Amritsar, Dec. 21 (Punjab Post Bureau)- \u00a0It is a rare opportunity for a student, Utsav Teji, of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road to have the privilege to witness the Republic Day Parade \u2013 2016 from the Prime Minister\u2019s Box at Rajpath. \u00a0A total of 100 meritorious students from all over India are invited every year to witness the Parade from the Prime Minister\u2019s Box. Utsav Teji scored 98.2 % marks\u00a0 in Humanities in the Std XII examination conducted by CBSE in 2015.<\/p>\n
With 98.2 % marks , she was the all India topper in Humanities stream among all DAV Schools in India and the District topper in her stream and also the overall school topper. In the\u00a0 all India competitive exam conducted by NIFT , she was ranked 192 and is pursuing Accessory Designing in NIFT , Bangalore.<\/p>\n
Utsav Teji has been a brilliant student throughout . She is also an artist par excellence and has many National and International achievements in the field of Painting to her credit. She was the winner of\u00a0 the International Painting Competition organised by the\u00a0 High Commission of Canada to select paintings of the calendar of High Commission of Canada. She received a cash prize of Rs 25000 \/- and her painting graced the calendar of the year 2013 of the Commission .She also won\u00a0 2nd<\/sup> Prize in International Poster making competition organised by CNPD , Delhi to name a few of her achievement. She wants to pursue her career in Fashion Designing and show her creative talent in adorning people. Overwhelmed at the invitation , she expressed her gratitude to the Principal of the school and her teachers for the constant motivation and encouragement to achieve her goal.<\/p>\n Arya Ratan Sh.Poonam Suri President DAV CMC, New Delhi sent his choicest blessings for the student. He congratulated her for her meritorious achievement and called her a \u2018Gem of DAV \u2018. He said that he was proud that the school was nurturing the students to excel at the National and International level and was maintaining a high standard of education.<\/p>\n Regional Director ,. Amritsar Zone Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar , Principal DAV College , Hathi Gate applauded the efforts of the student.
