{"id":52128,"date":"2015-12-25T07:40:57","date_gmt":"2015-12-25T07:40:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/?p=52128"},"modified":"2015-12-25T07:40:57","modified_gmt":"2015-12-25T07:40:57","slug":"an-annual-veteran-rally-was-organized-today-at-baba-bakala-by-beas-military-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/52128","title":{"rendered":"An Annual Veteran\u00a0 Rally was organized today at Baba Bakala by Beas Military Station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52129\" src=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/PPN2412201510.jpg\" alt=\"PPN2412201510\" width=\"1000\" height=\"351\" srcset=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/PPN2412201510.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/PPN2412201510-300x105.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52130\" src=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/PPN2412201511.jpg\" alt=\"PPN2412201511\" width=\"1000\" height=\"686\" srcset=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/PPN2412201511.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/PPN2412201511-300x206.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Amritsar, Dec. 24 (Punjab Post Bureau) &#8211; An Annual Veteran \u00a0Rally was organized today at Baba Bakala by Beas Military Station.\u00a0 While addressing Army Veterans and Veer Naris, Station Commander Beas Military Station told that ex-servicemen\u00a0 can now register\u00a0 complaints regarding their pension and other benefits online and also follow-up\u00a0 accordingly without having to visit any office.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Station Commander informed that this facility has been created for Veterans and Veer Naris through the Veterans Sahayta Portal which is linked to all the relevant offices which deal with the issues pertaining to the veterans.\u00a0 He explained that \u201cThe veterans have to simply register and log-in to this portal to file their complaints.\u00a0 These complaints will directly go to the concerned departments and also to the Record Offices.\u00a0 We, at the Veterans Sahayta Kendra in Beas, will also be monitoring the complaint redressal process.\u00a0 This facility will ensure that the Veterans and Veer Naris do not have to run from pillar to post to get their issues resolved.\u00a0 It is a single window grievance redressal facility for them\u201d.\u00a0While talking about the various welfare measures being undertaken by the Army for the benefit of the veterans, Station Commander said that special emphasis is laid on self-reliance and as such employment opportunities have been created for Veterans, Veer Naris and dependents.\u00a0 He said that at present 44 ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and dependents are employed by the Beas Military Station in various civilian posts in the ECHS, Canteen, Schools and Polyclinic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Veterans Rally was attended by more than 1,000 ex-servicemen and Veer Naris.\u00a0 Representatives from different departments including banks and insurance companies were present at the rally to inform the Veterans about the various schemes and facilities available. A separate medical camp with medical specialists in attendance was also held concurrently and several Veterans and Veer Naris took advantage of the opportunity to get themselves examined.\u00a0Station Commander and Mrs Soni Singh, Chairperson, Family Welfare Organisation, Double Victory Brigade, interacted with the Veterans and Veer Naris and reiterated the commitment of the Army towards the welfare of the Veterans.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
