This day makes us proud of our \u00a0rich culture and social fabric and fills us with reverence for the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters who struggled for the freedom of the country. On this occasion, the special morning assembly of the school bore a festive look. The students sang patriotic songs and recited poems to pay tribute to the great leaders of the country whose futuristic vision and selfless sacrifices led us to breathe in free India. The school students presented a dance performance paying homage to Mother India and saluted the great personalities of the country like Milkha Singh, Sachin Tendulkar, Lata Mangeshkar etc for making the nation proud with their dedicated work. All the students joined in by waving the Indian flag and cheered slogans of Jai Hind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The journey since 1950 has had its ups and downs for the country. Since then, the country has witnessed a technological upsurge along with some evils like poverty and corruption which we need to fight urgently. The students took a pledge to remove this darkness from the face of the, country and work together to make the dream of \u2018Make in India\u2019 come true.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regional Director, Punjab Zone A , Dr. (Mrs) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Principal DAV College, Asr congratulated the teachers and the students on this occasion and asked them to salute the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and the leaders of the country for their selfless mission of freeing the country from slave hood.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Principal of the school, Dr. Neera Sharma wished all the students and staff members a free and progressive India. She advised the students to be sensitive to social issues and spread awareness against the evils still persisting in the country.
