Making the presentation to an august gathering ofIntellectuals, thinkers, architects, foreign delegates, diaspora, avid readers and representatives of various institutions of the region, Amardeep regaled the audience with narratives of his works. Said the author Amardeep Singh, \u201cEighty percent of our legacy has been left behind in Pakistan, and needed to be documented<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For the coming generations.\u201d His book Lost Heritage-The Sikh Legacy in Pakistan carries narratives as well as exquisite visuals of this heritage. Amardeep Singh was born in Gorakhpur and has travelled the world, from Chicago to Hong Kong &amp; Singapore, to eventually explore his roots in the sub continent. To be a banker, a corporate honcho, and then to delve into the world of history, explore his love for photography &amp; avid research, he travelled 36 cities in Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0Chief Guest of the occasion Shri Parneet Sachdev, IRS, Principal Director of Income tax ( Investigations) Punjab &amp; JK \u00a0unveiled the Book at the function. He expressed that legacy is the soul of the human being. The pain of partition has taken away the ownership of our Punjabi souls. He complimented the author on allowing the Punjabis this side of the border to relive their heritage. The program was organised by Dilbir Foundation (DF) as a special event of their Dialogues in Legacy Conservation project. DF is facilitating his journey through Punjab. After today\u2019s Punjab launch the works will be presented at Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Patiala &amp; Chandigarh through the course of the month.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gunbir Singh, President, Dilbir Foundation said that the author documents the tangible vestiges of a bygone era, much as he pens down the travails and tribulations of the society of modern punjab history. He said, \u201cAmardeep work is indeed a celebration of the majesty of the Sikh era, much as it is a lament against man&#8217;s roughshod tread.
