Amritsar, Feb 29 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Deputy Commissioner Mr. Varun Roojam today gave a call to government functionaries to work with utmost dedication and commitment with a view to providing quality services to common masses without any delay.<\/p>\n
While inaugurating 12 days Induction Training Program for newly recruited cutting-edge-level state government functionaries of Amritsar district here at DAV Senior Secondary School Haathi Gate, Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need to deliver public services in hassle free and time bound manner. He said that we all should deliver our duties with a sense of responsibility so that the general masses could be facilitated in government offices. He also asked the newly recruited government functionaries of B and C categories to focus on redressal of public complaints on priority basis besides implement the welfare schemes of Punjab Government in letter and spirit.<\/p>\n
Describing the training an integral part of job, Mr. Roojam said that the sole motive of this training program was to motivate the newly recruited staff of various departments to impart knowledge about the practical functioning in offices. He said that besides this e-governance, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, time management, Right to Service Act, Right to Information Act, Leadership Qualities, stress management etc were also part of the induction training program.<\/p>\n
Mr. Roojam also exhorted the participants of training program from different departments namely Social Security, PUDA, Punjab Police, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, District Welfare Office, Local Bodies etc to perform effectively.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Nodal Officer of Induction Training Program Sub Divisional Magistrat-I Mr. Rohit Gupta said that this was being organized by Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration on the directions of Department of Personnel, Government of India. He said that during this training program the participants will voluntarily donate blood besides visiting Naag Kalan village, where they will interact with rural residents.<\/p>\n
Eminent writer Mr. Ninder Ghugianvi also addressed the participants with his motivational speeches and gave a call to newly recruited officials of different departments to ensure the delivery of public services well in time.
