The school has been honoured for its continuous participation in projects related to environment organised by TERI as a part of awareness campaigns undertaken by UNESCO. Since 2005, more\u00a0 than 150 students from the school have been\u00a0 actively taking part in the Green Olympiad followed by \u00a0Terra Quiz with the aim to raise awareness among the masses about the deteriorating\u00a0 environment . At the local level, the Eco \u2013 Club of the school , with its Green Brigade has taken up\u00a0 the responsibility to encourage people to\u00a0 switch to environment friendly activities and life style.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regional Director , Punjab Zone A , Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar ,\u00a0 Principal DAV College Amritsar appreciated the efforts of the school for \u00a0spreading awareness about the impending danger to the environment because of human interference. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school congratulated the students for their constructive efforts to save\u00a0 environment .She added that\u00a0 the country needs responsible citizens who are\u00a0 aware of their duties to\u00a0 bring a positive\u00a0 change.
